Rim shot!

David Letterman has been doing nightly jokes about John McCain's age (when he isn't needling Spitzer over the call-girl thing). Last night's McCain joke was one of the best thus far (just behind the one where Letterman said McCain, visiting Iraq at the time, remembers when Iraq was Mesopotamia):

Two State Department employees were fired because they were looking at Barack Obama's passport file. Not only that, but the same people were also looking at John McCain's Civil War records.
