No racial profiling

The state Court of Appeals had held that a Pope County traffic stop of a Latino man later charged with marijuana possession was a case of racial profiling. But the state Supreme Court today said no. Because the driver's Arizona license plate was partially obscured, a state trooper had probable cause to make a stop and thus legally made a subsequent search.
