Since the confirmation hearing for Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan seems likely to be one of the day's top stories, here's a useful sourced list from Media Matters debunking some of the favorite myths about Kagan propagated by her enemies. Beginning with her supposed ban of military recruiters from Harvard.
While you're at Media Matters, you might take a look at its B.S. detector on the phony Fox line — repeated by commenters here — that the federal Jones Act has prevented foreign flagged vessels from particapting in the Gulf cleanup. It hasn't and they are participating.

Why, I think there is some profound confusion here. Conservatives just luuuuuuuve Elena, baby! She is the cat's meow to all of us rabid, right wingers. I have it on good authority that she had a picture of William F. Buckley Jr. hanging about her bed. Isn't that just marve? Yes, we are salivating at the prospect of this legal giant assuming the judicial throne. Kagan, Kagan,Kagan roars the crowd at National Review. My palpitating heart longs for the moment when she utters those immortal words when she is sworn in! When she shows up for the swearing in packing heat we will all know where her true allegiance is.
And here are the cards of faith-based racism, anti-semitism and homophobia (Kagan may be a closet lesbian) the GOP is already playing in her SCOTUS nomination.

Why does the GOT Party hate women so much?
