Hey today the "Tea Party Federation" expelled racist Mark Williams and the Tea Party Express from their group after spending all week saying racism is non-existent in the Tea Party movement.

You cannot make stories like this up...
any* I'm still searching for my first sight of a Phillipino, Latino, or Jewish T'bagger.
So far it's reported the T'party is 97% white. From the two gatherings I've seen it's
100% White folk.
The letter, posted earlier on "Heil Tea Party" thread, that any*mouse's url is about
"Dear Mr. Lincoln
We Colored People have taken a vote and decided that we don't cotton to that whole emancipation thing. Freedom means having to work for real, think for ourselves, and take consequences along with the rewards. That is just far too much to ask of us Colored People and we demand that it stop!
In fact we held a big meeting and took a vote in Kansas City this week. We voted to condemn a political revival of that old abolitionist spirit called the 'tea party movement'.
The tea party position to "end the bailouts" for example is just silly. Bailouts are just big money welfare and isn't that what we want all Coloreds to strive for? What kind of racist would want to end big money welfare? What they need to do is start handing the bail outs directly to us coloreds! Of course, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is the only responsible party that should be granted the right to disperse the funds.
And the ridiculous idea of "reduce[ing] the size and intrusiveness of government." What kind of massa would ever not want to control my life? As Coloreds we must have somebody care for us otherwise we would be on our own, have to think for ourselves and make decisions!
The racist tea parties also demand that the government "stop the out of control spending." Again, they directly target Colored People. That means we Colored People would have to compete for jobs like everybody else and that is just not right.
Perhaps the most racist point of all in the tea parties is their demand that government "stop raising our taxes." That is outrageous! How will we Colored People ever get a wide screen TV in every room if non-coloreds get to keep what they earn? Totally racist! The tea party expects coloreds to be productive members of society?
Mr. Lincoln, you were the greatest racist ever. We had a great gig. Three squares, room and board, all our decisions made by the massa in the house. Please repeal the 13th and 14th Amendments and let us get back to where we belong.
Sincerely
Precious Ben Jealous, Tom's Nephew National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Head Colored Person"
The letter is from Tea Party Express spokesman Mark Williams' blog, posted after calling the NAACP racist for the NAACP passing a resolution asking Tea Partiers to repudiate racists in their ranks.

To go to a lighter subject-American airlines captains are raising questions about limiting the amount of fuel the plane carries based on a computer program of historic usage. The classic line, hidden in the article as a throw-away comment, is that the pilot has had to go to his reserve tank in only 0.2% of the flights. I think there are far more than 6000 flights a day but if you use that number, this only equates to 4380 flights a year where they have to go to the reserve tank where the flight time is measured in minutes, not hours.. I would suggest that the computer whiz-kids who came up with the data, the senior management who approved teh cost saving idea, and the flight dispatcher who try to force the captain to go with their fuel data usage be assigned to random flights so they have some "skin" in the game.
The article says the captains can file a written protest but a copy goes into their personnel file for their next review.
A do my best to not fly anywhere because of the TSC and the hub system so it doesn't impact me unless one of these calculations prove to somewhat short as most large planes have the glide ration of a rock and I end up with a verticle visitor on my farm but it sure puts the captains in the middle. My neighbors in CT were a couple of AA international pilots and I know that you can't always land when it is planned due to weather. I was in a flight into Logan (Boston) and we circled for over an hour because a slow-moving electrical storm over the airport.
I suspect that the NAACP is 98% Black so what is the big deal about the Tea Party?

At least evangelicals realize what is good for bidness is good for them, WalMart and America:
Obama Wins Unlikely Allies in Immigration
"I am a Christian and I am a conservative and I am a Republican, in that order,” said Matthew D. Staver, founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel, a conservative religious law firm. “There is very little I agree with regarding President Barack Obama. On the other hand, I’m not going to let politicized rhetoric or party affiliation trump my values, and if he’s right on this issue, I will support him on this issue.”
When President Obama gave a major address pushing immigration overhaul this month, he was introduced by a prominent evangelical, the Rev. Bill Hybels of Willow Creek Community Church in Illinois. Three other evangelical pastors were in the audience, front and center.

Lottery Vending machines are a very bad idea.
The Family Council folks have 10's of thousands of underage people ready to buy lottery tickets from the machines, similar to how ABC sends underage kids in to buy alcohol.
I'm liberal but I do not support lottery or gambling and I find myself in the completely uncomfortable position of hoping the Family Council succeeds in burying the lottery in lawsuits and criminal charges against businesses and eventually the state for allowing minors to gamble.
I have to take a shower now.
"I'm liberal but I do not support lottery or gambling.." By lastmall
I think our "liberal'' friend lastmall may be a troller.
It's always a tell-tale sign when someone opens with, "I'm a liberal but...'' then spouts an evangelical, judgmental line of thinking.
It'd be like me saying, "I'm a lesbian but I don't approve of gay men.''
OK, sure, that was an extreme example. But, is it?
lastmall wants the lottery to be "buried'' by the Family Council because last mall doesn't approve.
It seems like lastmall likes to cherry-pick (Gosh, what particular group loves to cherry-pick?) If lastmall approves, it's great. If lastmall doesn't approve, then to hell with it and bring in an opposing side to "bury'' it.
lastmall, I know liberals. And you are no liberal.
Hie thee to your nearest fundamentalist gathering.
Sis - I hope the Family Council has at least one or two kids in each family they plan to send to the University next year. I just looked at what's due on August 27th for one kid and I for one appreciate my little gift from the lottery.
Actually, the Family Council would seem to be putting itself in the position of contributing the deliquency of a minor if they knowingly have them violate the law. Of course, not acting "christian" shouldn't be an issue with an organization that wears the stripes, "talks teh talk", but certainly doesn't "walk the walk". Maybe the plunderbund would fall under RICO.
"The Family Council folks have 10's of thousands of underage people ready to buy lottery tickets from the machines, similar to how ABC sends underage kids in to buy alcohol."
*** If this is true, the Family Council is about to create tens of thousands of "illegal gamblers." Like illegal immigrants, these illegal gamblers will be criminals. Someone may even start a petition drive to make sure these illegal gamblers get no state benefits. There is nothing un-Christian about enforcing man's law.
I've been thinking about the tens of thousands comment by lastmall.
Does that mean 10,000 or even 50,000?
lastmall is saying the Family Council can unleash that many underage kids to attempt to buy a lottery ticket?
Wow, that's a LOT of kids. I didn't realize the Family Council had so many active members. Extrapolating, that would mean that there would have to be at least 20,00 to 100,000 adult family members (of course, married, Christian folks who only have one child) to unleash their progeny in the pursuit of this endeavor.
If they're Duggar-esque, the math formula changes.
Wow, that's a very strong group. I'm sure every politician should take note and not dare cross them.
Goof, I'm glad you benefited. Your son is obviously a chip off the old block.
Tap, I see where you've changed your name on several occasions. I was thinking of doing the same. I could be "hotfortap,'' or "tapsgirl,'' or "ilovetap.''
Please advise. Surely, you wouldn't think the potential handle-changes are stalkerish? It's nothing of the kind. I'm sort of sane (cue maniacal look from Glen Close in "Fatal Attraction.'')
Oh, I think 'hotfortap' sums it up pretty accurately, Sister.
And you know, just think about all those children. Brigades of kids to be sent out to commit a crime doing the very thing that their parents are trying to protect them from doing.
It's insane!
But that's just how these people think!
>>Brigades of kids to be sent out to commit a crime<
Yes, HHW, then they will all be illegals and we can deport them. Think of the broken families, the frantic search to match parent and child from refugee camps elsewhere.
Oh, it's what our 'other' illegals go thru daily.
tap,
I finally answered your query on the Coleman convicted thread. I apologize for the delay, but I felt it required a lengthy reasoned response to you and others. I am sorry it is so long, but this is not and easy question.

So did I Cato, I guess it proves old students of Dr. Hudson learned to stay informed on current events and retain the knowledge.
