CROWNED: Alyse Eady
  • Mike Bell
  • CROWNED: Alyse Eady

Alyse Eady of Fort Smith was crowned Miss Arkansas 2010 last night in Hot Springs.

What about pageants? Is Arkansas just one of the last holdouts against a dying tradition?

(I confess, I kindly would have liked to see the winner's ventriloquist rendition of "I Want to be a Cowboy's Sweetheart.") Lots more on Miss Arkansas at the pageant's website.

UPDATE: Norma provides a YouTube link to the winner's act, performed as Miss Teen Arkansas a few years ago.
