U.S. Attorney Jane Duke announced in Pine Bluff today that 25 people had been charged in federal court with drug and weapons charges as a result of a two-year investigation known as Operation Hog Wild. Duke said she hoped the effort, which netted several suspects with previous records, would bring down the violent crime rate in the city. Four other suspects face state charges as a result of the probe.
