The blog that stirred the broth in the recent hot races for Pulaski County School Board is back at it. Now, the issue is a trip to China by a school district delegation, ostensibly to explore teaching Chinese in the schools.

Teaching Chinese in the schools? Excellent idea. Need for expenditure by a fiscally distressed school district to send a delegation to China to discuss the topic, even if subsidized by a Chinese group? A fair question, at least. (It IS possible to teach Chinese without first sending a delegation to China.) The web’s enabling of instant citizen participation in public affairs? Also excellent.
