Bill Wisely, a Hot Springs lawyer, says he’ll be a Democratic candidate for the special election for the vacant House District 24 seat. Voters elected the late Keith Crass to the seat and the governor will call a special election after current Rep. Rick Saunders resigns at the first of the year. It’s unclear so far if the political parties will want a primary or to choose a candidate by convention. Republican Bruce Cozart has also said he’ll run.
