Arkansas Politics Bryant police chief: All in the family

I guess nobody in Bryant is surprised that Mayor Jill "Republican" Dabbs selected Mark Kizer, husband of her pal, City Clerk Heather "Republican" Kizer, to be the city's permanent police chief. Nepotism — and more questionable judgment — is how Republican Dabbs rolls (see perks for her daughter and her daughter's swim team.)
There were other applicants for the job. They could have saved the postage.
