Harry Reid: Call the roll on ending Medicare

Posted by Max Brantley on Wed, Apr 27, 2011 at 1:43 PM

Sen. Harry Reid says he'll have the Senate vote on the House Republican approved budget plan to eventually end Medicare, slash Medicaid, slash all manner of vital federal servces and give rich people a huge tax cut.

A great opportunity for Sen. John Boozman to demonstrate his continued commitment to the welfare of (select) Arkansans.

If Arkansas Democrats thought like Republicans they would have introduced a state legislative resolution calling for opposition to the Ryan plan and its end to Medicare.

Wasted some time and energy, but emailed both senators to encourage them to vote to do away with oil subsidies nad the bush tax cuts. Tried to appeal to Boozman's brand of christianity by asking him to read Jesus' sermon on the mount and then the 25th Ch. of Matthew(least of these my children), but I don't think his brand interprets that the same way as I do.

Pure theatre of the evil kind. If Harry and the D's had any decency or sense of fiscal responsibility whatsoever... they would put health care as a human right or a single payer/tri-care bill up for a vote. But that would upset both parties paymasters.... and save 50,000 american lives a year and save a million people a year from medical bankruptcy. We can't have that, no no.

All a bunch of cretins. Bastille Day in America can't come soon enough!

Go Reid make them vote the party line and look like the uncaring goof's they are. No doubt from what I've see so far someone will have to explain it to them first.

You know, the only way Eureka Springs is every going to be satisfied is if we have a full-scale revolution, and the Socialists, of which I am one philosophically, are put in charge. I don't think that is ever going to happen.

I much prefer the truth to power that Eureka speaks than any sasification;
besides which, Socialists are reactionary, Anarchists are revolutionary.

This stuff should be routine procedure on the part of the D's (let's just call them the left wing of a single-party political system).

How many times do you let lies, stupidity, and greed have its way?

Make the weasels voice their support individually for this assault on the middle and lower classes. Separate the cowards out and take them down.
