NASCAR track approved in Missouri

Did anybody really believe developers of a proposed NASCAR track had any interest in Arkansas except to leverage approval of their track in Missouri?

Thank god we dodged that smelly bullet. Just what we need in five years -- AEDC owning an abandoned would-be NASCAR track.

Does the track dump traffic in to Arakansas? I was in Arizona when they first started NASCAR at Phoenix International and it dumps onto I-10 and tied uo the side roads until 2 am after the afternoon race was over because I-10 is already a very busy roadway but dumping 110,000 cars anywhere at one time will screw up the area for hours.

At Bristol, they actually make I-81 three lanes south and 1 lane north south of the entrance and three lanes north and 1 south north of the exit and it was still 2 am and the trafiic was bumper-to-bumper in Johnson City where we were visiting. We actually went to teh race but parked in a handi-cap area and didn't stay for the end but went back and watched it on TV.
