Talk among yourselves.

Posted By on Sat, Dec 3, 2011 at 4:10 PM

Not much here. However:

* OCCUPY LR: Several of them marched in the Christmas parade. Ho ho ho.

* ARKANSAS STATE FOOTBALL: I'm a long declared advocate of the state's two Division I football schools playing each other — Red Wolves playing the Hogs, in other words. But really, you gotta wonder. ASU is going to a bowl, having a great year and is closing the season at home — before maybe 11,000 live fans (not turnstile count). That isn't a D-I showing.

* HERMAN CAIN: I said weeks ago he was a clown. The clown act continues, with a suspension of the campaign that allows him to continue to take money. What, to buy bulk copies of his book to pass out to the dwindling crowd of admirers?

  • White flag waved on Trumpcare

House Republicans pulled down the Trumpcare legislation this afternoon and walked out, depriving Democrats of some fun in pointing out all the anti-woman, anti-poor, pro-rich aspects of a bill too generous for hardcare Republicans and too mean for the few remaining moderates.

  • State Police issues statement on Jason Rapert 'threats'

The State Police have issued a minor clarification in what appears to be an effort to soothe an enraged Sen. Jason Rapert, exposed here as overly excited about both a Conway parking lot question from a constituent as well as some inflammatory Internet rhetoric that he's interpreted as a dire threat on his life. State cops took his reports seriously, they say. But in the end, they found nothing actionable.
