Republicans/Conservatives are a confusing bunch. They say they believe in Liberty and Freedom, yet they are so Lock-Step as to be a joke. Just look at that picture of Rapert for example: Blue suit, buzz-cut, American Flag pin...the Uniform. Then what really pisses me off is them using the Bible to tell you and I how to live. They believe that the Republican Party IS God in the flesh.

Now they are beating up on the Muppets as well as GLBT folks. Who knew Miss Piggy and Kermit were anti-capitalist? These people find something to fear EVERYWHERE! One wonders how they ever get to sleep at night with all the worrying things out there. Same sex marriage will ruin "traditional marriage"---for the record I have not heard of one divorce caused by gay neighbors. For all the lip service the right pays to family values, they have a lot of divorces and toe tapping in the rest room incidents. Now the latest Muppet movie has an anti-capitalist bias.

We can't do much to our shitty neighbor in Texas, but we can do much to Arkansas Sen. Jason Rapert every time we meet him in public. I'm not talking about kicking his ass, I'm talking about pointing at him and bellowing "There's that ignorant asshole bigot with brains of mush!" Yeah....that's a damn good start at striking a blow for liberty and equality for all.

We're told the Bible is a book of love, but how come those who nearly wear the Bible as a hat in public are so filled with the opposite of love.....hate? I can sum it up in one word, IGNORANCE. Only the ignorant among us spend their time dividing up the population into Good & Bad. They're pea-brains are too small to understand anyone who doesn't look like them, think like them, or act like them. It's like cats regarding a yard filled with dogs. HISSSSSSSS is the only thought that comes into the mind of the ignorant.

And of course these dimwitted assholes feel the same towards Blacks and Hispanics. Gays, Homosexuals, Hispanics, the Triple Crown targets of dumbasses and dinosaurs in our little backwards state. The same type of folks who screamed and spit on little black children trying to go to school in LR back in 1957. We love to think we've come a long way since then, but listen to your neighbors, look how they voted in 2008 & 2010 and they'll vote their prejudice again in 2012 ignoring the worthlessness of the Republican candidate just cause he's white.

Our job is to not let them get away with it unembarrassed, at the least. Don't sit silently while your family member, friend, co-worker, or church mate spouts their hateful ignorance. mag had to tell the neighbor behind us that we don't like the word nigger and don't want it used in front of our kids. And since then the ignorant racist hasn't said a word about black people, ugly or otherwise. I applaud her courage and the success she had in shutting up at least one dumbass. Multiply that a million times and Arkansas will be a better place for all of us. The Civil War is over....we lost. Get over it. And get up the nerve to shame the likes of Arkansas Sen. Jason Rapert and anyone else too dumb than to put their bigotry out in public.

Linda Tyler IS anti-same-sex equality. She IS "pro-life," which is to say anti-choice: she wants to dictate women's medical and reproductive rights based not on THEIR rights, or on medicine or science, but on Linda Tyler's "faith."

She's NOT for same-sex equality (a bigotry she extends to her own flesh and blood, RedMango). "Some" equality, maybe? That isn't equality at all. It's the back of the bus, if that.

As "some" love isn't love at all: it's "conditional love," another name for Control.

Linda Tyler is all about not upsetting applecarts. All about Linda Tyler imposing her "faith" on politics.

I keep thinking the wingularity has arrived. From the BJ lexicon, the wingularity is the point at which the insanity from the far right and those controlling the Republican Party [continues] to grow exponentially until it reaches an unsustainable weight and collapses upon itself. This is also known as the Purity Spiral, wherein the density of wingnut increases compared to mainstream conservatives to the point of pure wingnut. As the ratio rises, this creates a phenomenon wherein no logic or sanity can penetrate or escape. When rightwing argument has become completely inaccessible to the uninitiated, it has reached the Wingularity.

I am a Vetran, I am intersexed (Lumped into Trnagender), I cannot phatom if I am Gay, as I found out I have parts of both sexes.

I would like to say my condition is about many other things, Gays have been serving ion th military, except for homophoes, we always judged people on how they did their jobs, not what they did in their bedroom. Yes we knew there were LGB in our barracks, they did not bother us, we did not bother them, Even served in the field one save my life.
If you claim to be a christian, then pratice it. Walk among the sinners, walk among the poor, and help, instead of six houses.
As far as the biblr, I find no mention of my kind good or bad in there, I findwhere god and jesues and phrophets walked among the weak, and the poort, and the sick, and the sinners as any good christian. Will you?

Whilst I, Outlier, am deeply concerned that our armed services accepts troops with parts of both sexes (instead of assisting them with further medical and psychological attention, counseling and treatment) who are clearly unable to write simple sentences in English or are perhaps dyslexic or afflicted with serious visual disorders which make them unsuitable for shooting anything, flying anything, driving anything, typing anything or communicating anything to others -- assuming they're able to comprehend and follow orders at all.

Deeply concerned, I tell you.

Though from Intersexed Vet's post, it sounds as if he or she only "found out" about both parts AFTER joining the armed services, which calls into question the competence, in toto, as it were, of armed services medics conducting physical exams of incoming troops -- unless they're graduates of Belford University's Medical School.

None of which matters, apparently, as long as he or she is a Ristchian or whatever.

Fortunately, DBI, most of the rest of the country has more sense than do Arkansas voters. Yes, I know, i've said it--we've got a bunch of dumb mothers in Arkansas, including the state senator mentioned above. I think that Obama will be reelected, because enough of the country does not subscribe to our biases to elect any of the Republicans who have presented themselves. I always say thank God for California, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and other big states for saving us from our provincial, bigoted selves.

My name is "ArkansasGirl" - but I truly don't feel comfortable here surrounded by such hateful bigots. Ignorance runs as fast as the Arkansas River running through the heart of our state. I do what I can to get some truth out, but it is nothing more then one drop in a typhoon. This week I received a two-page letter from Tim Griffin thanking me for my concern but...naturally, it's his way or no way... I'm not represented for in this state and therefore our country. It's just frustrating and makes one feel hopeless.

All the presidential candidates need to remember that holding the office of president means he/she represents all Americans ... not simply the straight ones. As a Christian I find the bashing of any segment of people goes against the teachings of Jesus. As an American, I find the bashing of any segment of OUR people to be repugnant. Frankly all Perry achieved is to make himself totally unelectable. Sure, the crazies and hate-filled extremists will dance at his rallies (oh, wait, they don't believe in dancing ... ) but he does not appeal to average conservatives. It sickens me that my fellow conservatives are grouped with folks like him. However, I will poke fun at the Canadians ... their history of leadership is not exactly stellar! LOL!!
