Honk Honk - why it's Wobbles the Goose!
Congratuatlons to Mara Leveritt for getting an Academy Award-winning actress signed for the film based on her book. With all the Arkansas-connected films Reese Witherspoon is doing, she really, really likes us.
Sadly, Christopher Hitchens has passed away.
sigh.
But Rush Limbaugh is still alive.
Bye, Christopher. And thanks. Agree or disagree, well done.
Hitchens called Bill Clinton "a cynical, self-seeking ambitious thug."
His take on Mother Teresa? A fraudulent fanatic.
Regretfully, he didn't live long enough to share his Yuletide (or Yuletied) thoughts on the wadded panties in Paragould.
Hitchens was brilliant and will be missed. I agreed with the vast majority of his take on things and he stimulated thought and contemplation. After I heard news of his death last night, I went on YouTube to watch a dozen of his videos, eviscerated the likes of Ralph reed, hannity and the like.
He was a firebrand to closed-minded sheep that need daddy to keeP them in line.
We need a $100M venue so folks can do all the stupid things people do at the Fair- waste money, scream on rides, eat junk, drink beer, vomit- and display well behaved animals? The animals do not care care, and people can act stupid right there on Roosevelt Road.

No Arkansas writer one can think of deserves Hollywood money more than Mara.
Wonderful as Charles Portis is, fiction never saved anybody from wrongful incarceration and execution.
Of course, when you work out the time and effort Leveritt spent laboriously, tirelessly, relentlessly, dedicatedly researching then writing "Devil's Knot," your Wal Mart greeter makes a better hourly wage.
One trusts Ms. Leveritt knows how MANY are eternally grateful to her and appreciative of her gifts, her heart, her mind.
P.S. Tolstoy it may not be right up there with, but "fiddlefart" is my vocabulary-builder word for the week.
dbi--True, but sad. When I paid $190. for a year of the D-G, it hurt…
Proves the adage that nothing is free, nothing is simple.
This whole mess stinks.
