Apparent murder-suicide in Bryant UPDATE

Posted By on Mon, Jan 23, 2012 at 9:52 AM

Bryant police said a man and a woman were found shot to death today on the parking lot of the Saline Memorial Hospice alongside Interstate 30 in Bryant. Details incomplete at the moment, but early reports indicate a man who'd been chasing a woman in a car rammed her car, got out, shot her and then shot himself.

Saline 24/7 says the woman who was killed had obtained a court protective order against the man who shot her. Fox 16 says the woman, 39, was a nurse. The man was 38.

UPDATE: Fox 16's David Goins has the details. The dead are Jennie Marie Cavender, a nurse at the hospice, and a man believed to be her former boyfriend, Ronnie Odell Stewart Jr. of Maumelle.
