  • 'SELF-GLORIFYING': Woodward and Bernstein's "All the President's Men."
Good review from Glenn Garvin of the Miami Herald of a new book about Mark Felt, the FBI official who was Deep Throat to Woodward and Bernstein.

Rewrite the movie and popular scripts about the triumph of journalism through a noble public servant, Garvin suggests. Felt had an ulterior motive (to head the FBI), leaked things that were inaccurate and sometimes "maliciously false" and didn't reveal dark FBI secrets that should have been exposed.
