Cain's rabbit fever

I've read about it and you've read about it, but I wasn't sure I wanted to see Herman Cain's advertisement for his new racket, Cain Solutions. I thought watching a bunny get launched and shot might make me flinch.

As it turns out, it doesn't make me flinch. It just makes me scratch my head. And yes, I do have a question. Is Cain the biggest fruitcake ever to be run out of politics?

    The Daily Beast offers an interesting analysis of the change of tone in Mike Huckabee from the happy, crossover candidate of 2008 (always a bit of a stretch, I thought) to an angrier, resolute right-winger with a chip on his shoulder about supposed persecution of Christians and the like. My analysis: Huckabee will always dance with what can bring him loot. /more/

    We mentioned earlier today that Talking Point Memo's Sahil Kapur pointed out that Hillary Clinton critics have taken to a new conspiracy theory, which Kapur dubbed "shoe truthers." Remember the recent incident in which an audience member threw a shoe at Clinton while she was giving a speech in Las Vegas? Maybe it was staged! Shoe-ghazi!! Of course, if there was going to be a bananas theory, Herman Cain was going to show up. /more/
