ATMs targeted by thieves

The Forbidden Hillcrest website reports on what could be an emerging crime trend — break-ins at bank ATM machines after security cameras have been blinded.

The website posted the photo above from a recent heist of a First Security Bank machine on West Markham Street across from War Memorial Stadium. There's been a similar theft in Maumelle and reports of others around the state.

Mike Beebe's veto of the Republican Party's voter ID bill, national cookie-cutter legislation the GOP has rolled out to suppress the vote of traditional Democratic constituencies that lack driver licenses and ready means to go through steps needed to get required ID. Meeks later told the AP the delay was because of a long agenda and that he'd try next week.
