Toxic emission standards survive Inhofe attack

A Republican effort to gut mercury emission standards for coal-burning power plants failed in the Senate this morning. Needing 50 votes, it got 46 and 53 against. Sen. Mark Pryor joined the opposition to Sen. James Inofe's proposal. Dr. No Boozman supported wrecking the environment, an aye here being a vote NO on the public interest.
