Beebe releases $2 million for drought aid

Gov. Mike Beebe yesterday released $2 million from his discretionary reserve fund to help drought-stricken ranchers buy feed.

I couldn't help but notice the cheering from Republican legislators on Twitter for this government handout of taxpayer money. Take $3 billion out of the system by ending the income tax, as the state Republican Party platform urges, and these little handouts might be harder to make.
