Another drug bust announcement in East Arkansas UPDATE

Posted by on Wed, Sep 12, 2012 at 8:47 AM

The U.S. attorney's office sends word of an announcement later today of "significant" indictments and arrests of an East Arkansas drug ring, apparently centered on Jonesboro. The Craighead sheriff and Prosecutor Scott Ellington, taking a break from his 2nd 1st District congressional campaign, will take part.

UPDATE: KAIT has the jump on the story — arrest of 27 in a meth operation. 30 were indicted; three remain at large. Here's the U.S. attorney's summary.
