The first Arkansas Times Craft Beer Fest last night in the Argenta Arts District was a hit. We sold out of tickets and, sorry, ran out of the souvenir beer mugs provided for tasting by the 700-plus in attendance. Plastic cups seemed to work well enough as substitutes. The event benefitted the Argenta Arts Foundation.
Our hope is to make this an annual event. The site was perfect. The line for food from participating Argenta District restaurants stretched a bit, so we'll have to work on that.
Lots of pictures from Brian Chilson here.
Our pick of interesting flavors from a huge choice of brewers, local and national, was an Oktoberfest brew from Arkansas's Cord Brewery, one of many new names on the scene.
