Arkansas Lottery reports $2 million winner

Posted by on Thu, Dec 27, 2012 at 11:48 AM

Merry Christmas, even after sending nearly 40 percent to the tax men.

The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery created another millionaire Wednesday night when a lucky Lockesburg Powerball player spent $2 on a ticket, $1 on the PowerPlay, and correctly chose all five white-ball numbers. The ticket was purchased at B & B Junction on Highway 71 North in Lockesburg (Sevier County). The $50 Million Powerball jackpot was hit by a Florida player, and the jackpot Friday night will be $40 Million. Prizes from $4 to $2 Million are up for grabs in every Powerball drawing , regardless of the size off the jackpot.
