Gov. Beebe fills two judgeships

Posted by on Wed, Jan 2, 2013 at 9:39 AM

Gov. Mike Beebe's appointments today included two to judicial openings.

* Amy Brazil of Conway was named a circuit judge to succeed Rhonda Wood, who's moving up to the state Court of Appeals (right after making a hash of the law in attempting to punish someone politically for seeking Wood's recusal from a case that shouldn't have been assigned to her. Wood has run twice flaunting her Republican roots and has demonstrated them from the bench. Watch her at the next level.)

* Tim Parker of Eureka Springs will replace Marianne McBeth as district judge for the western district of Carroll County.
