Guns at UA — students weigh in

Posted by on Tue, Jan 29, 2013 at 6:35 AM

My University of Arkansas correspondent reports that the Residence Interhall Congress, which represents on-campus students, last night defeated a resolution in support of allowing guns on campus in the hands of concealed weapon permit holders. But it endorsed a resolution supporting Rep. Charlie Collins' bill to allow faculty to carry weapons. However, says my correspondent, there was some confusion on that second vote.

Still to come are votes on similar resolutions by the Associated Student Government, which represents all UA students.
