Arkansas House overrides Beebe veto

Posted by on Wed, Feb 27, 2013 at 2:07 PM

As expected, the Arkansas House today voted to override Gov. Mike Beebe's veto of Rep. Andy Mayberry's unconstitutional bill to ban most abortions after 20 weeks. The vote was 53-28. Rep. David Meeks tweeted out a snapshot of the roll call, and it appears that only two Democrats, Reps. Jody Dickson and Rep. John Catlett, voted to override. Twenty-eight Democrats — up from 10 when the bill cleared the House last week — voted nay.

UPDATE: David Goins Tweets the Senate will consider the veto tomorrow.

Then come the lawsuits!
