Fox 16 reports a police officer has fired at a suspect near Brodie Creek Road and Bowman Trail in western Little Rock in the Woodlands Edge subdivision. A large police contingent on the ground and a helicopter have been deployed, which has stirred chatter on Forbidden Hillcrest and other sites.
UPDATE: Fox 16 now says police apparently exchanged gunshots with a person wanted on a felony warrant, but it's believed no one was hit. The suspect remained at large at that report.
Channel 4 adds that the police were investigating two other afternoon shootings — at 28th and Van Buren and 36th and Potter.
UPDATE II: A suspect was in custody about 5:30 p.m. in the Woodlands Edge shooting, Channel 11 reported.
