Numbers out today from the Arkansas Department of Workforce Services show the state’s unemployment rate dropped two-tenths of a percentage point between January and February, from 7.3 percent to 7.1 percent.
DWS says that the civilian labor force in Arkansas increased by 2,500 between January and February, “a result of 5,400 more employed and 2,900 fewer unemployed Arkansans.” The overall U.S. jobless rate rose during the same period, from 6.6 percent in Jan., to 6.7 percent in Feb.
