The Little Rock police say Cornelius Pittman, 25, was arrested in Chicago Wednesday on a capital murder warrant in the June 2013 fatal wounding of Lawrence Thomas, 39. Thomas died two weeks after the shooting early June 30 near 13th and Peyton.

Thomas told police a man to whom he'd given a ride pulled a gun and tried to rob him. He fought with him, but was shot three times. Pittman has been jailed in Little Rock.
