School employees decry the patch on insurance

The legislature may think they've done solomonic work by cobbling up a supposed school insurance "fix" that doesn't require an additional dime of state money and further punishes both school and state employees with no restrictions on coverage. They better think again.

A school group is placing the ad above in papers this weekend.

(Has anybody given any thought to the bureaucracy necessary to impose and enforce the new bar on spousal coverage under state insurance plans and the pain that is going to cause thousands of families in new costs?)
