Overnight TV reports are crackling with sketchy reports of two people wounded in shootings about 3 a.m. in the 1300 block of South Main, described variously as having occurred near Midtown Billiards or the EZ Mart across the street. No one killed, according to the most recent blurbs.

Democrat-Gazette reporting shows crime scene tape on both sides of Main, but including around the parking lot at the southeast corner of 13th and Main, across the street from South on Main. That’s apparently were some blood-stained clothing was found.

UPDATE: Police said they were told when they arrived that Maurice Pinkey, 27, was shot in the shoulder in the alley behind 1222 Main and a suspect fled in  car.  Officers also found Matt Gillum, 26, in the alley with gunshot wounds in the chest. He was unable to tell officers what had happened. A woman at the scene told officers she’d seen a man with a gun earlier who’d said, “I’m tired of them picking on me.” She left before shots were fired.

The two men were hospitalized. Their conditions aren’t immediately known. A shot was fired into a parked vehicle as well during the incident.
