Christopher Craig, 47, has pleaded guilty to federal charges that he prepared fraudulent tax returns while working as a tax preparer in Little Rock.

Craig who now lives in Atlanta, pleaded guilty to two counts of preparation of false tax returns. Craig, according to the U.S. attorney's office, admitted filing returns in a way that reduced amounts owed the IRS in employment taxes but diverted the difference between the amount actually paid by the employer to himself. The government said he admitted costing the government more than $1 million by fraudulent conduct.
