Fox 16 is reporting
that a couple walking in Riverfront Park this morning found bags obtaining three bronze sculptures worth nearly $30,000 broken off pedestals and taken last week.

The city's Mark Webre says the sculptures can be repaired.

Among the items taken was — for the third time in four years — a small figure in the work "Conversations with myself."

The city is planning more security video coverage in the sculpture garden in the future.

SB 202, which will take effect Tuesday unless Gov. Asa Hutchinson vetoes it, isn't the only legislation pending that aims at protecting discrimination against gay people. A companion bill, HB 1228, by Rep. Bob Ballinger, has similar intent to protect "conscience" as a pretext for legal discrimination against gay people in matters unrelated to religious practice.

  • Downton Abbey fans frozen out on AETN

I'd ask AETN what happened to knock out its signal just in time for "Downtown Abbey" last night, but the public TV network in Conway is closed today on account of weather. The website currently contains no information about the outage or rebroadcast plans for missed shows. A telephone recording does say ice on the antenna had disrupted the AETN signal.
