Pea-pickin' good — the Cornbread Festival open line

Glad you asked: Martha White's Cotton-Pickin' cornbread mix. Use milk, not water, and add an egg. Cook in super-heated cast-iron skillet that has first been well-lubed with bacon grease.Lavish melted butter on the top after baking.

Sides: White beans, cole slaw, Arkansas tomatoes, raw onion.
