Crystal Lowery, charged along with her husband Arron Lewis in the abduction and slaying of real estate agent Beverly Carter, pleaded guilty today to first-degree murder and kidnapping and was sentenced by Judge Herb Wright to 30 years in prison. She is expected to testify against Lewis (I erroneously wrote Carter in this reference originally) at his murder trial in January.

Carter’s body was found several days after she disappeared after going to show a home for sale in Scott.

Lowery told reporters as she left court that she was sorry for Carter’s death. Her divorce suit against Lewis is pending. It says that when he married Lewis she wasn’t aware he was a seven-time convicted felon. He’s contested the divorce.
