Historical entertainment planned for joint celebration of three Southwest Arkansas milestone anniversaries
You have to really be seeking attention to try and make yourself the focus of an unrelated tweet. Being in elected office is an honor, but it comes with dealing with some very unusual personalities at times.
As usual, his post gets seen by other liberals who then spin their own story, details, etc. You all know the drill. In this case,Max Brantley, the all too familiar bombastic liberal writer at the Arkansas Times who has been after me for four years for my conservative Christian stances on issues writes a story without ever asking me to verify anything, then pushes it out as an actual story. This is the same person who has actually been at the root of every single crazy political attack I have endured since being elected. He has accused me of everything you can imagine and always proves nothing - except he hates conservatives and wants to destroy all of us however he can. If I were not deemed a "public figure" I could sue him and win for defamation.
Oh, and notice what Senator Repert did towards the end of his statement: He pivoted to his “Christian values” and cited a bible passage. This, in response to him being questioned for threatening to shoot people who talk to him.
This one has me more fired up than usual because it’s so offensive. It directly contradicts everything that elected officials are supposed to be: accessible to our constituents and willing to tolerate multiple perspectives. To respond like this to someone who might have been rude, and then to dig, shows that Senator Repert’s constituents are receiving a huge disservice.
Praise the Lord! Our prayers have been answered. Making America great......again.
The Capitol Police report to the Arkansas Secretary of State...which is frightening. If that weren't…
