The Central Arkansas Library System is down to two candidates for director of the library systemNate Coulter, a Little Rock lawyer, and Haley Lagasse, head of public services at the main library.

The system is looking for a successor to Bobby Roberts, who’s retiring.

Initial applicants were winnowed down to four, including a Florida library director and a local banker.

Coulter and Lagasse will attend a reception in mid-November that will be open to anyone interested in meeting the finalists. The Board of Trustees is expected to make the selection at a meeting at noon Dec. 10 at Hillcrest Hall.

The selection committee includes seven board members, a library staff member, a retired deputy director, a local resident and a lawyer.
