Authorities today found the body of Craig Strickland, singer in the Northwest Arkansas band Backroad Anthem, missing since Dec. 27 on a duck hunting trip to an Oklahoma lake.

Strickland, from Springdale, went hunting with his friend Chase Morland. Morland’s body was found along with a capsized boat the following day on Kaw Lake. A major storm had moved through the area. Strickland’s body was found in this morning in an area known as Bear Creek Cove. KFSM notes that Strickland’s dog, Sam, was found alive by Morland’s body.
