A motion to override the governor’s line item veto of a part of the Medicaid expansion approriation failed on a voice vote in the Senate today and that’s that.
The Medicaid expansion is thus law for another year. Further trickery is planned to clean up legal questions raised by using a line item veto as a ruse to bring over a couple of reluctant lawmakers to the 75 percent votes needed for passage of the medical services bill, including the Medicaid expansion enabled by Obamacare.

Hutchinson vetoed a provision to END the expansion, as everyone understood would happen in passing the bill.
