Senate candidate Eldridge plays Trump card against Boozman

Conner Eldridge,
the Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate against incumbent John Boozman, started advertising this morning to tie Boozman to presidential candidate Donald Trump and his remarks about women.

The ad, says a release, "shows in graphic detail the lurid and harassing language of Donald Trump and his slurs against women."  The film includes Boozman's statement that he'd support Trump if he is the Republican presidential nominee. From the Eldridge release:

“Donald Trump has repeatedly spouted offensive comments directed at women,” said Eldridge, “This has to be called out for what it is: serial harassment. I’ve prosecuted domestic violence and cases in which criminals have harassed and abused women in horrible ways, including verbally. A Senator should strongly condemn these comments.”

“Instead,” Eldridge continued, “Senator Boozman is an enabler of Donald Trump’s reprehensible conduct. For John Boozman to unequivocally state that he would support Donald Trump for President speaks volumes about Senator Boozman’s willingness to put political parties and partisan politics ahead of common decency toward women.”

“As a U.S. Senator, John Boozman is rarely seen in Arkansas. And now his judgment and humanity have gone missing, too. One cannot look at this collection of statements by Donald Trump and not be appalled. But it would appear Senator Boozman is the exception to the rule.”
