Whilst waiting to solve internet problems, I've had to hold back on telling our tale of adventure at the Hope Watermelon Festival last weekend. If you've ever wondered about how I and my traveling companions go about chronicalling our experiences, here's your chance to find out. A venture into the heat of an August Saturday afternoon in south Arkansas with photographers Leif Hassell and Grav Weldon over at Tie Dye Travels. Oh, and yes, Hunter came along, too.

Employees fear for future of Hope hospital

Leslie Newell Peacock reports on the uncertain future of Hope's hospital, a tangled story that includes a recent federal guilty plea by the hospital's owners related to another property in Texas: Doctors at Medical Park Hospital in Hope have issued a desperate plea to state officials, including the governor, a prosecutor and the U.S. attorney for help in keeping the hospital from bankruptcy or closure. /more/
