Prime time

HANDCUT: Hand seasoned and perfect

I have my days when I don't want to see meat at all (had a lot of those recently; I blame the fried foods I had to endure last month). I have sushi days. I have days where I want to eat nothing but fresh tomatoes and homemade bread.

And some days I want meat. In particular, I want a good prime rib. There aren't a whole lot of places that serve up prime rib around these parts, and fewer that do it well. Whenever I find one, I treasure it and tell everyone about it so I can help that place stay in business.

That particular prime rib you see is the second best prime rib I've found in Arkansas (second only to Opal Mae's in Russellville). It's hand cut and hand seasoned, cooked to order and served up with choice of potatoes, some vegetation and an elixir called Road Rash. It can only be found on the weekends at Scooter's Restaurant at the Hub, and you're going to have to drive to Marble Falls to get it.

The story of the Hub, Scooters and that prime rib, over at Tie Dye Travels.
