  • A THING OF BEAUTY: Coconut fried pie at Ms. Lena's
Isn't that beautiful? Once again, fried pies are available at Ms. Lena's Pie Shop in DeValls Bluff. Highway 70 to town and then south a block on Highway 33. That one's coconut. They're going until 5pm... while I was there this morning, traffic was crazy, lots of people coming in from everywhere to come get some pies. At $2 each, not bad — coconut, apricot, peach, apple and chocolate. They might sell out of one flavor or another (my bet would be on chocolate). Better hurry. Call ahead if you want yours hot and ready when you get there — (870) 993-1393.

    May 16, 2013
The Pie Cycle is a truly wonderful addition to our mobile and street-side dining scene, and it’s certainly something worth tracking down. It’s an experience, and a real pleasure meeting young people with big dreams and the creativity to make them happen. The Pie Cycle is destined to brighten the day of anyone fortunate enough to get their paws on some of their lovely creations. /more/
