Another great week in food here in The Rock. I had a wonderful time at Westover Hills Wednesday this week. I wrote a bit about Southern Salt earlier, but there was fantastic food all round. Check out Steve’s piece on WHW at Little Rock Foodcast, great stuff.

Some good stuff coming out of Rock City Eats this week, too. Check out Kevin’s piece on crawfish from the Faded Rose. Very nice read. They’re also doing a helpful calendar over there featuring some of the more notable food events.

Have you voted in our Spring Photo Contest? Better get to it. Some great shots, and they deserve your attention.

And speaking of photography, I’m loving this stuff by Elizabeth Strandberg at South on Main. Great photos of great food.

Alright, now it’s time to FEEDBACK, y’all. Tell us what you’re luvin’ right now.

  • The Kraft Mac & Cheese Food Hack

Recently, we held another food hack competition, taking another childhood classic, Kraft Mac & Cheese, and tried to turn it on its head, creating something entirely new and unique. Again, the results were pretty awesome. The rules were simple: Use a whole box of mac and cheese, both noodles and cheese powder, and turn it into any sinister monstrosity imaginable. We had a vote via the Eat Arkansas Facebook page to crown a winner. Here's what was submitted:

  • Looking in on the new Le Pops, now in the Heights

Le Pops is a wonderful addition to the Heights neighborhood. Laurie Harrison is incredibly dedicated to her product, she still works here 7 days a week and is constantly experimenting in the kitchen to develop new flavors. Check them out the next time you need a cool down.
