Hey y’all. Wanted to take a bit of this week’s FFF to announce our 2nd ever Eat Arkansas Food Hack competition. If you’ll remember, we did our first one a while back when we tweaked some Totino’s pizzas. You can read about the results here

Here’s what we got going on this round. We’re hacking Kraft Mac and Cheese. The basic rules are simple. Use everything in a box of Kraft Mac and Cheese, twist it, warp it, tweak it, add stuff to it. Create the most spectacular mac and cheese your little mind can muster. Then snap a photo, send it to me by July 20th. I’ll run a contest where everyone can vote on your photo via our Facebook page the next week. We’ll crown a winner on July 27th

And now, Food Feedback Friday…

Steve has this to say about Vino’s: “For dinner, I had the muffuletta calzone. It’s not on the menu, but please don’t miss this one. The olive salad filling matched so well with the ricotta blend and the side of red dipping sauce.” Karin was pleased with the Pantry: “I tried the trout and Brussels sprouts in romesco sauce at the Pantry. It is now my favorite entree there!” Raven was happy with Maddies: “The lunch special Po-Boy and choice of soup, salad or red beans & rice was tremendous. I had the roast beef and my wife had the spicy chicken sandwich.” Poison Apple was kind to K-Hall and Sons: “Some of the nicest sized shrimp and snow crab legs I have seen. Really great food. I will be back.” And SusieQ was talking about BJ’s Brewhouse: “Earlier in the week, 4 of us went to BJ’s Brewhouse for an early dinner. No complaints about the food. HoneyBunny had a perfectly cooked Ribeye & my Fried Chicken breast was also very good.”
