Little Rock Restaurant Month: Savor the City picks in the Heights and Hillcrest

The month of August is Little Rock Restaurant Month, and you are all invited to Savor the City with deals on good eats all over town. Yesterday, I took a look at five of my favorite deals in the Downtown area, and today I'm highlighting some of my personal picks for deals in the Heights and Hillcrest neighborhoods. Be sure to say "Savor the City" to your server in order to unlock a world of delicious deals and discounts.

*Boulevard Bread Co.: Stop into the swanky and delightful Boulevard Bistro in the Heights for one heck of a Savor the City deal—free frites or pimento cheese appetizer with the purchase of any entree (good for dinner only). Boulevard's pimento cheese is the stuff of local legend, so this is a great chance to stuff some great food into your face for free.

*Ciao Baci: One of my favorite Hillcrest eateries is Ciao Baci, and one of my favorite things to do is head there right after work for dinner. If you like that sort of thing, too, then their Savor the City Early Bird Special is just for you—one 3-course dinner for $25 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. every night. Unbeatable.

*Heights Taco & Tamale Co.: Head in for some down home Ark-Mex and treat yourself right with your choice of a free chili or cheese add-on with every purchase of HT&T's signature tamales. One of the most delicious appetizers in town just got better.

*Hillcrest Artisan Meats: Given that I've spent most of my waking hours lately working on Arkansas Made Magazine (instead of this poor, neglected food blog), this deal is custom made for me—take 10% off any Arkansas-made products from the H.A.M. shelves. That includes the delicious Bonta Toscana garlic sauce you might have heard tell of .

*The Pantry Crest: Ok, so this deal is also available at the original Pantry location on Rodney Parham, but I had to highlight it--take 15% off your bill (minus alcohol, gratuity or tax) just by saying "Restaurant Month." Holy cow! May I recommend the moules frites? They are divine.

*Sushi Cafe: The folks at Little Rock's most popular sushi restaurant have developed their own special Savor the City menu, so stop by and see what's going on with that—they won't steer you wrong.
