Boy, I love crawfish, don’t you? Something about eating them just feels rather primal—I always find myself wondering what hungry person first looked at one of these ugly suckers and said, “Yeah, that’s probably good eats.” That person is a hero, especially once they figured out that spice and lemon makes these things great for tail eating, head slurping action.

One of the best spots in Arkansas to get crawfish is Eat My Catfish in Benton, who seasonally offers the mudbugs whenever they can get good ones. And according to an email I got this morning, they’ll have a limited supply of these tasty critters for sale this weekend only. They’ll have more later in the season, of course, but if you wanted to have a pre-Christmas crawfish boil, give them a shout or head by their Benton location.
