Out-of-towners: Bailin, Hembrey

Some news about exhibits not in Arkansas, one on the West Coast, one on the East:

David Bailin of Little Rock is showing his narrative charcoals at Koplin Gallery in Culver City, Calif., in an exhibition called "Between Truth and Fiction: Pictorial Narratives. The show opened Sept. 8 and runs through Oct. 19.

Shea Hembrey, an Arkansan now living in New Jersey, is exhibiting his conceptual work in "Dark Matter" at Bryce Walkowitz Gallery in New York. The Wall Street Journal weighed in on Hembrey's show.
