Artist V.L. Cox called to report her experience this morning at Barnes and Noble bookstore in North Little Rock, where she went to browse the art magazines. Her beef: Penthouse and Hustler magazines have now been moved to the section adjacent to the art magazines. She said the store management told her that they were instructed to move the porn next to the art.
We were wondering — does the brass at B and N think that they'll sell more Penthouse magazines by putting them next to the art magazines? Or vice versa? Or do they associate girlie magazines and art? Both includes nudes, I guess.
Here's what Cox says: She's as open-minded as the next person. "But put them next to sports," she's telling the bookstore.
