The re-issue of Rwake's classic 'Hell Is A Door To The Sun' is up for preorder on iTunes

Guild award snubs don't bode well for 'True Grit's' Oscar chances.

It's not the tennis player. But this guy's incredible, too @thefaderhosts a live video of James Blake playing "Wilhelms Scream" at the legendary Maida Vale Studios for the BBC.

Thank you, Based God. Lil B tells @pitchforkmediahis two new records are "going to be historical works of art." Swag.

The internet has been lit up all day long with terribly sad news from the music world. Trish Keenan, vocalist for Broadcast, died after complications from H1N1. Our buddy @redchuck pointed us towards this astute comment on her death.

Get John Darnielle and @mountain_goats on Law and Order: SVU. Why? Why not?

New website for White Water Tavern. Dig the header. It's lookin' good. After all, Myspace is getting more and more hoopty by the hour.

Against Me! plays Juanita's in 9 short days. Added Jay ("son of Max") Weinberg on drums. If this practice footage from @spinmagazine is any indicator, we're calling it now: gonna be great.

@ARKRiverfest confirms Charlie Daniels on Saturday at the Amphitheater and Papa Roach on Saturday at the Bud Stage.

Best Twitter post I've seen in a while. I'll tell you from experience, that H1N1 mess is one hell of a tough thing to go through, and it's a shame it claimed such an amazing talent well before her time to go.

Also a hearty guffaw at the Riverfest confirmations...

Am I the only one who thought true grit wasn't that great? I just didn't think there was a whole lot to the movie.

Well, panic fan, the book isn't a saga or anything, and the Coens followed it pretty closely. I commend them for doing that instead of changing everything around. It's not the end all be all of films, but it was pretty decent as far as book to film adaptations go.
